The Nigerian Mobile telecommunications giant GLO has created special data plans for different purposes. These special data plans are different from Glo’s regular monthly data plans but as I said, the data plans are designed for different purposes.

If you want to download a movie online but don’t have enough data, then what you need is GLO special data plan because that’s the only way to get a high-volume data package without breaking the bank.

What you should know about GLO special data plans

* Affordability: when it comes to the price, you can find the cheapest data offers on Glo special data plans, you can get 1GB or more as low AS N200  and up to 7GB as low as N1500.

* Low Validity Period: one of the biggest issues is the expiring date of the special plans, since they don’t cost much to activate,e they still don’t offer much expiration validity period. The best you can get is between 1 – 14 days.

* Only good for special purposes: Don’t let the cheap price deceive you. The only people who need this type of data plan are people who wish to download or upload some stuff online and people who have all day to surf the web. When none of these apply, then you’d better go for monthly data plans, though they cost more, but will give you peace of mind.

How to subscribe to any of the Glo special data plans

As I said earlier, there is no direct shortcode to subscribe to Glo special plans, but with *312# you can subscribe to any plan of your choice. But if you are still confused and not sure how to do it then follow this steps.

* Dial *312#. You must use a Glo line to dial the number.
* Type 1 (Buy data)
* Type 1 again (Buy Data Plan)
* Either Type 1 for Auto-renew or type 2 for one-off if you don’t wish to enable auto-renewal.
* Type and send 5 (Special Data Offer).
* Type 1 for special plans or type 2 for campus data booster.
