Every mobile network operator has their own unique methods of checking their data balance, but just recently, a new unified USSD code has been introduced by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC). *311#: With this USSD code, you can recharge your phone on the go, all you need is to dial the code, follow the on-screen instructions, and you will be able to recharge your phone. You don’t need to look for where to buy airtime or look for a POS agent to help subscribe for you.
*303#: Lastly, this USSD code is what you need if you wish to borrow data or airtime from your phone and pay later. You will need this whenever you run out of data unexpectedly.
Note: Most of the Nigerian network now uses the same code to check both data and airtime balance, especially the *310#. When you dial the code, look closer to the text message you received to see both data and airtime balance.
